This policy explains what the app stores on your device, which permissions it asks for, and how you stay in control. It applies to the CoffeeShots iOS app, its Live Activity, Control widgets and WatchOS companion app.
CoffeeShots is published by Thor O'Hagan Petersen, an independent designer based in Denmark ("I", "me").
The app saves only what you choose to enter, and only on your iPhone or iPad. I have no access to it. None of this is uploaded to me or to any server operated by me. The app has no user accounts, no sign-in and no cloud sync of its own.
All of this is uploaded to me or saved on any external server or services. The app has no user accounts, no sign-in and no cloud sync of its own.

The label scanner runs entirely on your device using on-device Apple Intelligence. the photo is processed on-device using
When you scan a bag, the app reads the printed text with Apple's on-device text recognition (Vision). It then uses Apple's on-device language model (Apple Intelligence, where your device supports it) to pick out details such as the name of the beans and the specific roast date and fill in the form. For devices that do not support on-device Apple Intelligence this feature is unavailable.
Relevant documentation on these technologies:

CoffeeShots contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking tools, and it does not track you across other apps or websites.
Apple Maps (MapKit). When you search for a place or look up the name of your current location, the search text or coordinates are sent to Apple to return results. Apple handles this under the Apple Privacy Policy.
Live Activities. The brew timer can appear on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island. It is updated locally on your device, not through external notification services.
Open-source libraries. The app uses Lottie by Airbnb (animations, installed via lottie-spm) and Glur (for visual effects). Both run only on your device and do not collect or transmit data.
Apple may separately collect App Store and device information, such as purchase and crash data you have agreed to share with developers, under its own privacy policy.
Because I do not collect or process your personal data, there is nothing held by me to access, correct, export or erase. Your rights under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) still apply, and you can contact me with any privacy question. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet).
If the app's handling of data changes, I will update this policy and the date at the top before releasing that version of the app.
